A teenage girl has been charged over an alleged break and enter and breach of bail in the state’s Orana region.
Officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District commenced an investigation yesterday (Monday 14 September 2026), following reports three people had allegedly broken into a bedding store on Cobra Street, Dubbo, about 7.45pm the same day.
Police will allege three girls – aged 16, 13 and 11 – forced entry into the store by smashing a door before stealing cash from a register and a mobile phone.
Following inquiries, about 8.40pm the same day, police arrested a 16-year-old girl on Jubilee Street before taking her to Dubbo Police Station.
Police spoke to two girls – aged 13 and 11 – who will be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.
The 16-year-old was charged with aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal less than or equal to $60,000, and breach of bail.
She was refused bail to face a children’s court today (Tuesday 15 September 2026).
