Teenager dies in St Albans

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a teenager in St Albans overnight.

Emergency services were called to Bailey Street following reports an injured male had been found on the road on Monday 26 June just after 11pm.

Another report was received advising a number of people had been seen in the vicinity of where the injured male was found, and they appeared to be armed with a knife.

The teenager passed away on the way to hospital.

Local police have set up a crime scene and Homicide Squad detectives are currently on scene.

Officers from the Major Crime Scene Unit will also attend to process the scene.
