The Queensland Police Service Launches Crime and Community Safety Survey in Cairns

The Queensland Police Service (QPS) is calling upon the residents of Cairns to actively participate in the Crime and Community Safety survey, a crucial initiative aimed at enhancing project planning and establishing a baseline measure for the DICE pilot program.

With a strong commitment to providing a safe environment for Queenslanders, the QPS recognises the significance of preventing crime and addressing community concerns.

The Cairns Crime and Community Safety Survey is a pivotal step in fulfilling this commitment, designed to gather insights from the local community about crime and safety issues in the region.

Residents are encouraged to take part in the anonymous 10-minute survey.

By sharing their views, participants contribute valuable information that will be used to shape future crime prevention responses in Cairns.

The survey aims to create an evidence base, allowing the QPS to track progress over time and tailor initiatives to address the specific needs of the community.

The QPS acknowledges the importance of community involvement and expresses gratitude to Cairns residents for their time and insights.

Together, through active participation in the survey, the community and police can collaboratively work towards creating a safer and more secure Cairns.
