Theft of railway iron in Cooladdi, QLD

Detectives from the Charleville Major and Organised Crime Squad (Rural) are appealing for information after the theft railway iron near Cooladdi, west of Charleville.

Preliminary investigations indicate heavy machinery was used to steal the iron sometime between December 2018 and mid-January 2019.

Approximately 160 lengths of railway iron were removed from the site, which is located on the eastern side of Cooladdi.

The railway iron was relatively new with an approximate value of $30,000.

Investigators are appealing for any person with information in relation to the theft of the materials to contact police.
