Is it the traditional show bags, show jumping and side show alley? Or the new age daredevils on Water Powered Jetpacks and motocross bikes? Is it the ‘Dagwood Dogs’ and fairy floss or the craft beers?
No matter your taste or preference, there’ll be plenty to tempt and entertain you at the Nambour Showgrounds from June 14-16 when the 2019 Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show rolls into town!
Community Portfolio Councillor and Show President Jenny McKay said the 114th annual show would showcase a wonderful mix of tradition and modernity for the Sunshine Coast community.
“For more than a century the Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show has provided local people with opportunities to showcase their produce, their skills and entertain our community in so many unique ways,” Cr McKay said.
“As the Show President I’m certainly aware that events like ours need to evolve and we continue to do that in 2019 with a wonderful mix of traditional show time favourites and new age entertainment.
“So people who attend this year’s Sunshine Coast Show can still grab a show bag, or a Dagwood Dog and take in the cattle judging, the equestrian and the wood chopping. They can also see amazing young daredevils performing incredible stunts on water powered jetpacks, moto cross bikes and speedway cars, all while enjoying the biggest fireworks display in our region and sampling a craft beer!
Show Manager Penny Daly said this year’s event would once again provide fantastic entertainment value for money.
“When you consider all the terrific things which are on display for people to see, or to taste or touch or be wowed by during these three days at the Nambour Showgrounds, it really does represent one of the best value-for-money events on our calendar,” she said.
“Entry to this year’s show will again be just $12 per day for adults, $10 for secondary school students and $5 for primary school students, while children under school age are free.”
Division 10 Councillor and show committee member Greg Rogerson said he couldn’t wait for this year’s event.
“Everyone has fond memories of going to the show as a kid and I’m sure for many people that excitement stays with them year after year and comes flooding back whenever they walk through the front gates and take in all those wonderful sights, smells and sounds of the show – I know that’s certainly the case for me!,” Cr Rogerson said.

Parking will again be available at the Crusher’s Rugby League grounds off Bli Bli Road and a shuttle bus will be operate from 8am to 9pm daily between the Nambour Transit Centre and Nambour Showgrounds.
