Moonee Ponds police are investigating a theft which occurred in Essendon last week (6 July).
Investigators have been told a man entered the Fletcher Street store about 4pm and made his way to the perfume area.
He selected a number of perfume bottles and immediately left the store.
He is perceived as Caucasian in appearance with a skinny build and short dark brown hair.
At the time, the man was wearing a white jumper with a black polo top underneath, jeans and light-coloured runners.
Police have released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
