Campaspe Shire Council has cancelled all ‘This Girl Can’ program events scheduled between 23 – 29 March following advice from VicHealth that This Girl Can Week has been postponed due to the current COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation in Victoria.
The event was an opportunity to provide support to all women in getting active and embracing a healthy lifestyle, no matter what age or ability.
Cancelled Campaspe events include the Active Women Expo at the Echuca Stadium on Saturday, 21 March, and a daily exercise program at EWMAC (Echuca War Memorial Aquatic Centre) across the week.
Regulatory and Community Services General Manager, Paul McKenzie said “that although there is no reported case of Coronavirus in our municipality, the event has been cancelled by VicHealth based on the most up-to-date advice from Victorian Department of Health & Human Services to help slow the spread of the virus.”
