Three-car crash on Marion Road at Plympton, South Australia

Police are investigating after a car crashed into two other cars on Marion Road at Plympton last night.

Police and emergency services were called to Marion Road, Plympton about 11.20 pm on Saturday 27 June by reports of a rear end crash.

A Ford sedan crashed into the rear of a Hyundai sedan at speed, then continued and hit the rear corner of another Hyundai sedan further down the road.

The driver of the Ford allegedly ran from the scene.

Police searched the area and located the alleged driver a short time later. The 24-year-old Adelaide man was taken to hospital to have blood taken as part of the crash investigation.

Fortunately, only minor injuries were sustained and none of the six people in the two Hyundais needed hospital treatment.

All three cars were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

The investigation into the crash is continuing.
