Three injured; four charged after home invasion at Doonside, NSW

Four teenagers have been charged after three people suffered stab wounds during a home invasion at Doonside this morning.

Emergency services were called to a home on Cameron Street, just before 2.30am (Tuesday 5 April 2022), after reports of a home invasion.

Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command attended and found three occupants – two men, aged 19 and 44 and a 35-year-old woman – suffering stab wounds.

It is alleged four people, armed with knives, broke into the home and assaulted the younger man. The man and woman were allegedly injured when they came to his aid.

They were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Westmead Hospital in stable conditions.

As inquiries were being undertaken, police responded to McCulloch Road after reports of a crash.

A motor vehicle was found abandoned; however, with the assistance of the Dog Unit, four teenage boys were arrested nearby on Love Street.

The boys – three aged 16 and one aged 14 – were taken to Blacktown Police Station.

Following inquires, the 16-year-old boys were charged with special aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence-wound, and be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner.

The 14-year-old boy has been charged with special aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence-wound, and drive conveyance taken without consent of owner.

All four teens were refused bail to appeal at a Children’s Court tomorrow (Wednesday 6 April 2022).
