Three teens arrested following Tarneit aggravated burglary

Police have arrested teens following an aggravated burglary in Tarneit this morning.

Officers responded to reports of three suspicious males on Tenterfield Place about 7.20am.

The trio allegedly entered a backyard property where one of the offenders has entered a residence through a bathroom window.

The female occupant of the house confronted the trio and they fled on foot.

She was not physically injured.

Police attended, arresting a 17-year-old boy from the Wyndham area and 19-year-old Tarneit man near intersection of Sunset Views Boulevard and Equinox Close.

The 17-year-old was treated by paramedics after he was tasered during the arrest.

A third male, a 15-year-old boy from the Hobsons Bay area, was tracked in a rideshare vehicle to Fifth Avenue in Altona North, where he was swiftly arrested.

The trio are expected to be interviewed.

At this stage it is not known what was stolen from the Tenterfield Place residence.

A school on Fairview Parade in Tarneit temporarily placed itself into lockdown as a precaution.

The investigation is ongoing.
