Traffic crash appeal in Kearneys Spring, QLD

Police are seeking public assistance in relation to a serious single vehicle traffic crash in Toowoomba on Friday afternoon (November 11).

Initial investigations indicate around 2.15pm a white 2007 Toyota Hiace van with Queensland registration 916DG5 was travelling north on Ruthven Street in Kearneys Spring when it left the roadway and struck a tree.

Police believe prior to the crash the Toyota was south of Toowoomba and had been travelling north via Ruthven Street.

The Toyota (pictured) has roof racks with solar panels on top, a silver nudge bar on the front and the rear window has been fitted with a white covering.

The driver, a 34-year-old Holland Park woman sustained minor injuries and was transported to the Toowoomba Hospital for treatment.

The sole passenger of the vehicle, a 64-year-old Nimbin (NSW) man sustained serious injuries and was also transported to the Toowoomba Hospital for treatment.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dash cam or CCTV footage which may assist police, including the vehicle’s movements in the time leading up to the crash (especially between 1.30pm and 2.15pm) is asked to contact police.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
