Swan Hill, Robinvale and smaller town retailers are being encouraged to get into the Christmas spirit (and bring out their competitive edge) in a Christmas display competition thanks to a competiton organised by Swan Hill Rural City Council Economic Development Unit.
To enter, retailers can simply register online or contact the Swan Hill Region Information Centre. Applicants will need to take a before and after photo of their festive display.
A panel will award winners from Robinvale, Swan Hill and small towns. There is a best overall prize in each location as well as a most creative and a think local gift cards to win valued at $300 and $100.
Swan Hill Rural City Council Economic Development Co-ordinator Muriel Scholz said the competition is a fun way to make the region more festive in the lead up to Christmas.
Presentation and appeal are important. It does not need to be complicated, expensive or time consuming”.
