Two children seriously injured in crash at Moss Vale, NSW

Investigations are underway into a two-vehicle crash in the state’s Southern Highlands today.

About 5pm (Wednesday 19 February 2020), police were called to the Illawarra Highway, Moss Vale, following reports two cars had collided.

Two passengers from one vehicle, a seven-year-old girl and 12-year-old girl, have been taken to Westmead Hospital. The younger girl is in a critical but stable condition, while the older girl is in a serious but stable condition.

The driver from the second vehicle, a 37-year-old man, was taken to Bowral Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from The Hume Police District have established a crime scene and the Crash Investigation Unit will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The Illawarra Highway is closed in both directions, with diversions in place at Nowra Road.
