Two people have died after a single vehicle crash in Sydney’s north.
About 10.45pm yesterday (Wednesday 18 September 2024), emergency services responded to reports of a black Toyota Corolla crashing into a tree and catching fire along Burnt Bridge Creek Deviation, Balgowlah.
NSW Fire and Rescue extinguished the fire.
Whilst yet to be positively identified the driver is believed to be a 23-year-old man and the passenger a 26-year-old woman.
Both died at the scene prior to the arrival of emergency services.
Officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command established a crime scene that was later examined by specialist police.
An investigation has commenced to determine if speed was a factor.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
