Two homes targeted in drive-by shooting, South Australia

Police are investigating after shots were fired into two homes at Whyalla Playford this morning.

Just after 1.20am Thursday 24 June Whyalla patrols were called to Rundall Avenue after the occupant reported a bullet had been shot through the front window. He also reported hearing a motorbike take off after the incident. There were no injuries reported.

A short time later, about 1.30am patrols were called to nearby Elliott Street after the occupants also reported that a shot had been fired into their house. Occupants had allegedly observed a man aged in his 20s, riding a red Honda dirt bike, with a white dirt bike style helmet with a camera mounted on it riding from the scene. There were no injuries.

The incidents are believed to be linked and targeted. Crime Scene officers are at the scenes and Whyalla CIB will be investigating.
