Two injured in Macquarie Park crash

Two drivers have been injured in a crash at Macquarie Park this morning.

Emergency services were called to the M2 interchange on Lane Cove Road and Ryde Road about 5.55am (Tuesday 9 March 2019), after a truck and a ute collided.

The truck then rolled onto its side, spilling its load of bags of cement and scaffolding across the roadway.

The man driving the truck was trapped for more than an hour. He has now been taken to Royal North Shore Hospital with multiple fractures. His condition is unknown.

The man driving the ute sustained neck and shoulder injuries and has also been taken to Royal North Shore Hospital for treatment.

No other vehicles were involved.

Traffic is significantly impacted and this is expected to continue for some time.

Officers from the Crash Investigation Unit are en route to the scene.
