Two men injured during aggravated break and enter in Kincumber

Police are investigating following an aggravated break and enter where two men were wounded on the Central Coast.

Police have been told about 12.45pm yesterday (Friday 1 July 2022), two men – one armed with a firearm and the other armed with a machete – forced entry to a home on Benelong Close, Kincumber, where they threatened two male occupants – aged 18 and 30.

The armed men demanded cash before an altercation occurred between all four men, whereby the younger man was slashed to the lower leg and shoulder and the older man was slashed to his arm.

The pair fled the scene and attended Gosford Hospital for treatment, while the armed men fled the scene in a vehicle.

Officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District were notified and established a crime scene.

As investigations continue, police are urging anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from the nearby area between 12.30pm and 1pm yesterday (Friday 1 July 2022), or who may have any information which could assist investigators to contact Gosford Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
