UNITAR signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Hiroshima Corporation for Higher Education (HCHE) in charge of managing Eikei University of Hiroshima.
24 August 2023, Hiroshima, Japan – On June 2023, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) has begun a new collaboration with the Hiroshima Corporation for Higher Education (HCHE) in charge of managing Eikei University of Hiroshima. As part of their curriculum, Eikei University students spend a trimester engaging in Project-Based Learning (PBL), tackling real-world issues to contribute to their communities.
Through this new partnership, Eikei University students will approach these problem-solving proposals through a UNITAR perspective. As an initial step, both parties will focus mainly on themes relating to entrepreneurship and innovation, leadership skills, and local engagement.

Eikei University, a public university established in April 2021 by HCHE, works to become a vibrant center of intellectual activity.
