Unlawful entry/Stolen motor vehicles in Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police are investigating the unlawful entry of an organisation on Flynn Drive on Friday night.

Police responded to a report of a group of people damaging the gates of a health facility on Flynn Drive where unknown offender/s gained entry to the building and stole three sets of car keys.

Three vehicles; two white Mitsubishi Outlanders and a white Toyota Hilux were stolen from the premises.

Police recovered one vehicle (Mitsubishi Outlander) abandoned in scrubland off Winnecke Avenue and the other Mitsubishi Outlander abandoned on Boucaut Street after it had struck a small tree near the footpath.

The white Toyota Hilux was located extensively damaged and abandoned in a culvert in the Todd River along Barrett Drive, and a 15-year-old male who attempted to run from the scene, was arrested following a foot chase with police.

The 15-year-old was scheduled to appear before the Alice Springs Youth Justice Court today on one count of Unlawful Use of a Motor vehicle.
