Unlawful Use Charges, Murrumba Downs

Three youths have been charged following investigations by Redcliffe Detectives after a vehicle was stolen from Murrumba Downs on Feb 21.

Police will allege the vehicle was stolen from a house around 1.45am

Following a sighting of the vehicle in Kallangur a short time later, an unmarked police vehicle followed the Toyota Hilux before tyre deflation device was deployed in Nellies Lane to bring the car to a stop. Eight youths allegedly ran from the scene.

Six youths were taken into custody immediately and two others a short time later with assistance from the dog squad.

A 15-year-old Petrie boy has been charged with break and enter, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and receive tainted property. He will appear in the Brisbane Childrens Court on February 29.

A 16-year-old Deception Bay boy has been charged with three counts of break and enter, two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, one count of possessing implements and one of attempted break and enter. He will appear in the Brisbane Childrens Court on February 29.

A 15-year-old Kallangur girl was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle. She will appear in the Pine Rivers Childrens Court on March 4.

Two 14-year-old-boys, one 16-year-old boy, a 14-year-old girl, and a 13-year-old girl were dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.

Investigations are ongoing in relation to another 13-year-old girl who was allegedly in car.
