Unlawful wounding incident at Caboolture South, QLD

Police have charged a man following an alleged wounding incident outside an address at Caboolture South on January 20.

It will be alleged around 8.30pm a 40-year-old male victim was walking along the footpath on Dickson Road when a 50-year-old man has arrived in a vehicle and the pair have engaged in an altercation.

During this incident, the younger man sustained a serious stab wound to his abdomen.

It is then alleged the 50-year-old man has left the scene in the same vehicle he arrived in.

Emergency crews arrived shortly afterwards, and the 40-year-old man was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A man was taken into custody a short time later at an address in Elimbah.

Police say both men are known to each other.

A 50-year-old Elimbah man has been charged with wounding in a public place and driving under the influence of alcohol (BAC 0.159%).

He is expected to appear before the Caboolture Magistrates Court on Monday, January 22.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or may have relevant dashcam/CCTV vision of the area to come forward.
