Unlicensed rider detected speeding more than 100km/h over limit near Wagga Wagga, NSW

Police have charged a 30-year-old man after he was detected speeding more than 100km/h over the legal limit near Wagga Wagga yesterday.

About 11.30pm (Tuesday 3 November 2020), Riverina Highway Patrol officers received information that a black motorcycle was detected allegedly travelling at 205km/h in a 100km/h zone on the Hume Highway, and then the Olympic Highway at Table Top.

Police initiated a pursuit which was terminated soon afterwards due to safety concerns.

The motorcycle was located a short time later in Wagga Wagga unattended and on its side.

A search of the area with the assistance of the Dog Unit located the rider, who was arrested and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station.

Police checks revealed that the rider did not hold a motorcycle licence, and his NSW class C provisional drivers licence is disqualified until the
