What are the symptoms of COVID-19?

People with COVID-19 have reported a wide range of symptoms, from mild to severe illness. Symptoms may appear two to 14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms or combinations of symptoms may have COVID-19:

  • cough; and
  • shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.

People with at least two of these may have COVID-19:

  • fever;
  • chills;
  • repeated shaking with chills;
  • muscle pain;
  • headache;
  • sore throat; and
  • loss of taste or smell.

Seek medical advice if you develop symptoms and have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19. Call ahead before you go to a doctor’s office or emergency room.

Will faculty members and staff working remotely receive a refund for parking permits?

After careful consideration and financial evaluation, Cornell has determined that it is not possible to suspend payroll installment payments for permit holders at this time. Campus parking permits provide the university with indispensable revenue needed for salaries, Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit payments and debt payments.
