Northern Territory Police have arrested a second person in relation to an aggravated robbery at a Katherine service station.
Investigators located and arrested an 18-year-old man at a residence in Katherine East earlier today.
Police seized the man’s mobile phone and allegedly identified video footage depicting a quantity of cigarettes, recorded shortly after the robbery.
He was taken to the Katherine Watch House and charged with aggravated robbery, property damage and two counts of theft.
Police opposed bail.
Superintendent Mark Bland APM said police remained focused on protecting workers and the wider Katherine community.
“Police acted quickly to identify, locate and arrest both alleged offenders within a short period of the robbery.
“Offending of this nature is distressing for workers who are simply going about their jobs, and this behaviour will not be tolerated in our community.”
