Updated Cross Border Travel-Associated Direction 22 June, South Australia

The Cross Border Associated Direction has been updated in South Australia in relation to New South Wales. The Cross Border-Associated Direction No 19 comes into effect at 12.01am on Tuesday 22 June 2021.

The following restrictions apply in relation to people who have been in the Randwick City, Bayside, City of Canada Bay Inner West, City of Sydney, Woollahra Municipal Council area, New South Wales any time in the 14 days before (not before 11 June 2021) arriving in SA after 12.01am Tuesday 22 June 2021:

Randwick City, Bayside, City of Canada Bay Inner West, City of Sydney, Woollahra Municipal Council area arrivals:

  • Arrival prior to 12.01am Tuesday 22 June 2021- All travellers from Randwick City, Bayside, City of Canada Bay, Inner West, Woollahra Municipal Councils and Council of the City of Sydney areas who have not been in the Waverley Council area or in a COVID-19 case location and who arrived in South Australia prior to 12.01am on 22 June 2021 have no restrictions applying to them pursuant to Associated Direction No 19.
  • Arrival after 12.01am Tuesday 22 June 2021- All travellers from Randwick City, Bayside, City of Canada Bay, Inner West, Woollahra Municipal Councils and Council of the City of Sydney areas who have not been in the Waverley Council area or in a COVID-19 case location and who arrived in South Australia after 12.01am on 22 June 2021 are subject to modified Level 3 requirements:
    • COVID-19 test on day 1, 5 & 13.
    • Self-quarantine until undertaken the first COVID-19 test (do not need to wait for the test result).
    • No entry into high risk setting for 14 days after arrival unless clause 9 applies.
    • No entry to COVID Management Plan events where more than 1000 are likely to attend.

Essential Travellers and Permitted Arrivals from Randwick City, Bayside, City of Canada Bay Inner West, City of Sydney, Woollahra Municipal Council area:

  • Returning South Australian residents, people relocating and people escaping Domestic Violence who have been in the Randwick City, Bayside, City of Canada Bay, Inner West, Woollahra Municipal Councils and Council of the City of Sydney areas are permitted to enter South Australia but are subject to the same modified Level 3 requirement as above.

The Randwick City, Bayside, City of Canada Bay Inner West, City of Sydney, Woollahra Municipal Council areas include the following suburbs:

  • Randwick City Council; includes the suburbs of Centennial Park, Chifley, Clovelly, Coogee, Kensington, Kingsford, La Perouse, Little Bay, Malabar, Maroubra, Matraville, Phillip Bay, Port Botany, Randwick and South Coogee.
  • Bayside Council; includes the suburbs of Arncliffe, Banksia, Banksmeadow, Bardwell Park, Bardwell Valley, Bexley, Bexley North, Botany, Brighton-Le-Sands, Carlton (part), Daceyville, Dolls Point, Eastgardens, Eastlakes, Hillsdale, Kingsgrove (part), Kogarah (part), Kyeemagh, Mascot, Monterey, Pagewood, Ramsgate (part), Ramsgate Beach, Rockdale, Rosebery (part), Sandringham, Sans Souci (part), Turrella and Wolli Creek.
  • City of Canada Bay Council: includes the suburbs of Abbotsford, Breakfast Point, Cabarita, Canada Bay, Chiswick, Concord, Concord West, Drummoyne, Five Dock, Liberty Grove, Mortlake, North Strathfield, Rhodes, Rodd Point, Russell Lea, Strathfield (part), Sydney Olympic Park (part) and Wareemba.
  • Inner West Council: includes the suburbs of Annandale ,Ashbury ,Ashfield, Balmain, Balmain East, Birchgrove, Camperdown, Croydon, Croydon Park, Dulwich Hill, Enmore, Haberfield, Hurlstone Park, Leichhardt, Lewisham, Lilyfield, Marrickville, Mascot, Newtown, Petersham, Rozelle, St Peters, Stanmore, Summer Hill, Sydenham and Tempe.
  • Council of the City of Sydney: includes the suburbs of Alexandria, Annandale, Barangaroo, Beaconsfield, Camperdown, Centennial Park, Chippendale, Darlinghurst, Darlington, Dawes Point, Elizabeth Bay, Erskineville, Eveleigh, Forest Lodge, Glebe, Haymarket, Millers Point, Moore Park, Newtown, Paddington, Potts Point, Pyrmont, Redfern, Rosebery, Rushcutters Bay, St Peters, Surry Hills, Sydney, The Rocks, Ultimo, Waterloo, Woolloomooloo and Zetland.
  • Woollahra Municipal Council: includes the suburbs of Bellevue Hill, Darling Point, Double Bay, Edgecliff, Paddington, Point Piper, Rose Bay, Vaucluse, Watsons Bay and Woollahra.

Restrictions continue to apply to arrivals into South Australia who have been at a New South Wales COVID-19 case location or Waverley Council area in the 14 days prior to their arrival.

Please note that previous COVID-19 Cross Border Travel Directions and restrictions particularly in relation to restrictions for people arriving from Victoria are still in place and people will continue to be bound by those requirements unless directed otherwise by an Authorised Officer.

This Direction should be read in conjunction with the Emergency Management (Cross Border Travel-General) (COVID-19) Direction 2021.
