Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash which occurred at Wattle Flat this morning.
Emergency services were called to Melbourne Road about 3.15am after reports a car had crashed into a tree.
The male driver died at the scene while a female passenger managed to escape the vehicle.
She has been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
