What’s my bin day?

Waste_BinCollections.jpg

Not sure when you’re supposed to put out your rubbish bin? Use our handy Find my bin day tool to find the bin day for your property.

Simply enter your address or use your browser to automatically detect your location. The website will tell you when your next bin day is for general waste and recycling.

To make sure your bin gets emptied follow these simple steps:

  • Make sure you put your bin(s) out by 6am on the day of collection – with your bins at least half a metre apart.
  • Check overhead power lines, trees, objects or works are not blocking our trucks from accessing your bins.
  • Make sure your bin is not overflowing and is not too heavy – bins over 70kg will not be collected.
  • Please wait until 3pm to report that your bin wasn’t emptied.
  • Make sure you are using a City of Swan bin. We can only collect rubbish from our bins, which have our stamp on the lid/bin.
  • Make sure your bin is compliant. Only put recyclables in your recycling bin. Hazardous waste cannot go into either bin. Check what you can and can’t recycle on our recycling page.
