Work has started on improvements to an intersection in Bushy Park that will improve safety and traffic flow.
The almost $760,000 project was funded under the Australian Government’s Road Safety Program (the Program).
The project will create a right-turn lane out of Gordon River Road into Glenora Road. The new turning lane will separate turning vehicles from through traffic, minimising the potential for rear end collisions.
The Program also funds activities and projects to improve safety and traffic management on the broader road network.
The projects funded include targeted shoulder sealing on rural roads and intersection upgrades at high-risk junctions.
The Bushy Park improvements are expected to be complete by the end of this year.
