A woman had been charged after illicit drugs were allegedly located in a nappy during a vehicle stop in the state’s Riverina overnight.
About 11.30pm yesterday (Friday 19 June 2026), police stopped two cars on Aurora Street, Temora, as part of an ongoing investigation into drug supply in the area.
During the stop officers attached to Riverina Police District allegedly located 93g of methylamphetamine wrapped in a nappy which had been hidden in the footwell of one of the cars.
Three people – two women aged 27 and 23 and a 32-year-old man – were arrested at the scene before being taken to Temora Police Station.
Following inquiries, the 27-year-old woman was charged with possess drug (not cannabis leaf/MDMA) not exceed small quantity, possess/attempt to prescribed restricted substance, deal with property proceeds of crime less than $100,000, and supply prohibited drug more than indictable & less than commercial quantity.
She was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Local Court 5 today (Saturday 20 June 2026).
The other two were released pending further inquiries.
