Detectives from Gympie Criminal Investigation Branch today arrested and charged a man following investigations into an overnight incident in which a man allegedly sustained a stab wound.
Police were called to an address in the Fairview Park Estate at around 4.30am today following reports a 25-year-old man had sustained a laceration to his hand following an alleged alteration with another man.
He was transported to hospital for treatment to a non-life-threatening injuries.
A 22-year-old local man has been denied police bail and is due to appear in the Gympie Magistrates Court on Monday, September 6 charged with unlawful wounding and common assault.
