Wounding Investigation At Jindalee

Police are investigating a reported wounding at Jindalee this afternoon, 30 July.

Initial investigations indicate that around 3:45pm, a physical altercation occurred between a group of people near an address on Arrabri Avenue.

During that altercation, a 42-year-old Jindalee man reportedly sustained multiple serious injuries, and three people fled the scene in a white Audi sedan.

No people were struck by the vehicle as it fled.

Emergency services were called a short time later, and upon arrival, first aid was provided to the 42-year-old Jindalee man before he was transported to hospital for treatment.

A crime scene was declared, and multiple people involved in the disturbance are currently assisting police with their enquiries. Officers believe that the involved persons were known to each other, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Investigations into the circumstances of the incident and into locating the outstanding vehicle and people are ongoing.

Officers are appealing to anyone with any relevant information or CCTV/dashcam footage to come forward.
