Wyndham Libraries Top 5 Books for 2023

Wyndham Libraries have again this year, 2023, seen the increase in popularity of digital borrowing with an uptake in e-books and audiobook loans.

Wyndham City’s Learning City portfolio holder, Councillor Jasmine Hill, said: “It is fantastic that Wyndham residents have embraced ebooks and audio books and are making the most of their local library resources.”

With a wide range of free book choices available for residents to read, whether they like a hard copy book, an e-book e-audio or an audio book, there is something to cater for everyone’s interest and reading style.”

“From new adult fiction and non-fiction to interests and hobbies as well as a vast array of learning resources, there’s something for everyone.”

“Even for young adults, children and pre-schoolers, there is an extensive and interesting range of genres with something to suit even the fussiest of readers.”

The top five adult non-fiction books that are attracting residents interest are self-help books and autobiographies.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone again featuring in the young adult fiction Top 5.

Japanese comic books and graphic novel series feature in the Top 5 young adult graphic novels. The Bad Guys series is the most borrowed in Children’s fiction and popular with our younger residents, character Bluey is the most borrowed picture books/board books.

Wyndham Libraries’ free online resource ‘Borrow Box’ has a range of titles and is an easy-to-use online platform. If residents prefer a hard copy book, they can come into their local library and browse the selection of new titles.
