You can have your say on boundary amendment in Hornsby local government area

NSW Department of Customer Service

The Geographical Names Board is seeking community feedback on a proposal by Hornsby Shire Council to amend the existing suburb boundaries between Glenorie and Middle Dural.

Chair of the Geographical Names Board Narelle Underwood said the proposed boundary amendment would aim to resolve difficulties with emergency services, postal and courier services due to unclear and inconsistent addressing of properties in the southern section of Glenorie.

“It is important that suburb boundaries are easy to identify and make sense to the community,” Mrs Underwood said.

“We want to make sure everyone has an opportunity to provide their feedback on the proposed boundary amendment.”

Hornsby Shire Council has sought feedback on the proposal and received positive feedback from impacted residents before submitting the proposal to the Geographical Names Board.

Details of the proposal can be viewed and submissions lodged on the Geographical Names Board’s website. Written submissions may be mailed to the Secretary, Geographical Names Board, 346 Panorama Ave, Bathurst, NSW 2795.

The closing date for submissions is 9 October 2022.
