The Year 10 Excellence Awards for Outstanding Achievement in High School mark a momentous celebration of student accomplishments in ACT public schools.
This year 75 outstanding students were presented with awards. These exceptional young individuals were nominated by their schools and received awards in one of three categories highlighting their qualities as:
- a confident and creative individual
- a successful lifelong learner
- an active and informed member of the community.
“The Year 10 Excellence Awards represent many years of hard work, dedication, success and community service,” Minister Berry said. “The students recognised this week were acknowledged for their commitment, academic excellence, creativity, sporting achievements or their contribution to the community,” Minister Berry said.
“The ACT Government stands firm in its commitment to providing every child and young person with a quality education. It is truly heartening to witness so many young individuals attaining such high levels of success.
“I’d like to take a moment to acknowledge the families, carers, and friends, as well as the teachers and school staff, for the invaluable support they provide to our students.
“Congratulations to each award winner. I extend my best wishes for the next phase of your journey, and I eagerly anticipate hearing about your future triumphs.”
