Brimbank students can now access study help online and on-demand 24/7 in a wide range of subjects at no cost through Studiosity, a new service available at Brimbank Libraries.
Studiosity’s online, on-demand support service offers ‘live’ help in English, Maths, and Science, as well as essay writing feedback. There is also an option for Job Skills help and resume feedback.
Brimbank Mayor, Cr Georgina Papafotiou said caring for the community during the coronavirus pandemic is Council’s top priority. Although COVID-19 has forced the temporary closure of library doors to the public, we continue to offer a range of support options that residents can access immediately.
‘We know many families and individuals have been struggling with home-schooling and learning online, and we’re already in Term 3 and this has only increased. To help ease the strain, Council has invested in education and has added even more resources and tools, including Studiosity for our community to access.
‘Studiosity allows students from Years 3-12 and first year tertiary to access 24/7 online study help from a network of highly qualified ‘subject specialists’. It’s on-demand, one-to-one assistance, personalised for a student’s specific problem or question.
‘The service will provide some relief to families struggling to help their children study while at home, and also help university students who are craving personalised assistance with their coursework,’ Cr Papafotiou said.
Students with a Brimbank Libraries membership can contact this service which gives them access to practice quizzes, writing feedback, and ‘live’ messaging with subject specialists.
The Studiosity service partners with public libraries across Australia, and leading education providers to provide timely, one-to-one help to well over a million students globally.
