Allens has advised The Living Company (TLC), the parent of Scape Australia, on the over station development above the main entrance to the new State Library Station at the corner of La Trobe and Swanston streets in Melbourne.
The project represents a significant addition to Melbourne’s CBD, capitalising on opportunities created by the Metro Tunnel project and supporting the city’s reputation as a leading destination for education and learning.
‘This project demonstrates how major transport infrastructure can create opportunities for urban development that supports the way people live, study and work,’ said partner David Donnelly.
The transaction builds on Allens’ extensive experience advising on complex infrastructure, development and city-shaping projects across Australia.
‘We are proud to have been on this journey with TLC across a 10-year period culminating in the development of this asset. It is a testament to the hard work and tenacity of the TLC team,’ said partner Michael Graves.
