Annual Report 2022-23 achievements

Council has noted the City of Greater Geelong’s Annual Report for the 2022-23 financial year.

The report provides a detailed overview of the organisation’s work to achieve the strategic priorities of Council’s four-year Our Community Plan 2021-25 and performance against the annual budget.

The City’s $174.2 million investment into capital works projects such as new and upgraded buildings, swimming pools, parks, roads, footpaths and drainage is highlighted in the report.

The report showcases important strides being made towards ongoing environmental sustainability such as the rollout of energy efficient LED streetlights (14,000 residential streetlights replaced and 130 new lights installed) and reductions in operational carbon emissions (down 29 per cent).
