Police are appealing for information following several suspicious fires in the state’s central west this week.
Between 2pm and 3pm on Tuesday (31 October 2023), emergency services were called to Ulan and Lagoons Road, Cooks Gap, about 36km north of Mudgee, following reports of several bush fires.
NSW Rural Fire Service firefighters attended and extinguished three of the blazes; with two still burning at Advice level.
Detectives from Orana Mid-Western Police District have commenced inquiries into the fires, which are believed to be suspicious.
