Applications open for Creative Economy funds

The Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund and the Arts Sustainability Fund are now open.

Eligible organisations are encouraged to apply for RISE, which will provide grants of between $75,000 and $2 million to help restart activities such as festivals, concerts, tours and events once it is safe to do so.

RISE will support arts organisations, companies and promoters with funding for new events and productions, such as festivals, concerts and tours, which need significant capital investment. Guidelines and information on how to apply are available on the RISE Fund page.

The Sustainability Fund will provide direct financial assistance to support existing Commonwealth-funded arts and culture organisations facing threats to their viability due to COVID-19. Targeted organisations in fields such as theatre, dance, circus and music are eligible to apply for the Sustainability Fund. Guidelines and information on how to apply are available on the Sustainability Fund page.

Both funds are part of the Government’s $250 million Creative Economy package to help Australia’s creative and cultural sector reopen.

Applications are now open until 31 May 2021 and will be assessed on a rolling basis.
