ARLC pays tribute to Peter Mulholland

The Australian Rugby League Commission (ARLC) has paid tribute to the remarkable career of Peter Mulholland who died yesterday, aged 68.

Mr Mulholland was one of the most respected figures in the game starting as a player, before coaching and becoming one of rugby league’s most successful recruitment managers.

ARLC Chairman Peter V’landys AM said few in the game had earned the respect of all participants like Mr Mulholland had.

“The whole game was saddened to hear of Peter’s passing yesterday. He was a great contributor to rugby league and was held in the highest regard by his peers,” he said.

“Peter helped discover and mould the careers of some of our best players. Few had an eye for talent and an ability to nurture and develop players like Peter did.

“On behalf of the game, I send my condolences to his family and all players and clubs who are better today for Peter’s influence. The game has lost a great man.”
