Arrest by Child Exploitation Operations detectives

Detectives from the Child Exploitation Operations Squad (CEO) have charged a 49-year-old man with 25 offences as a result of their investigation.

On Tuesday 10 October 2023, CEO detectives executed a search warrant at the man’s Two Rocks home where they seized 11 electronic devices allegedly belonging to the man.

It will be alleged a preliminary digital forensic examination was conducted on the devices at the scene and numerous files were located containing Child Exploitation Material and bestiality.

A further review of digital files identified alleged covert recordings of women using a toilet which occurred whilst the man was working as a security person in regional WA.

Whilst executing the search warrant, detectives also seized various controlled and prohibited weapons including nunchakus and throwing knives, drugs and drug paraphernalia.

The 49-year-old man from Two Rocks has been charged with:

• Eight counts of Indecent Acts in Public;

• Eight counts of Unlawfully Install an Optical Surveillance Device;

• Two counts of Possessing Child Exploitation Material;

• Two counts of Possessed a Controlled Weapon;

• Two counts of Possess or Copy an Indecent or Obscene Article;

• One count of Possessed a Prohibited Weapon;

• One count of Possess a Prohibited Drug (Cannabis);

• One count of Possessed any Drug Paraphernalia in or on which there was a Prohibited Drug or Plant.

He is next due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, Wednesday 22 November 2023.
