While community engagement will look different this year due to COVID-19 restrictions, it’s more important than ever for CFA members to report on their activities.
Launched in 2019, the Community Engagement Activity Reporting Tool (ART) is a mobile-friendly application to help CFA members record and track community engagement activities delivered in their local communities to raise awareness and encourage action on fire safety and preparedness.
ART has helped CFA to improve reporting on community engagement activity – and this year, ART will be able to show how CFA is helping communities get ready for summer, despite the challenges we are all facing.
ART has recently been updated with new features added. As more CFA member are connecting with their communities online, the new version of ART includes the ability to report regular programs delivered via Zoom and other online platforms.
Truganina Brigade Community Safety Coordinator Michele Abbott said ART is now more streamlined and even easier to use, with each report taking less than two minutes to complete.
‘I log on via the CFA intranet, and then just step through the questions,” Michele said. “I’ve even added a shortcut to my phone’s home screen.
‘If I want to see what activities brigades have run in my district or region, I can go to the ART Dashboard.
“It’s a great way to see which activities are popular, as well as uncover opportunities for collaboration and sharing of resources with other brigades.”
ART comes with a digital user guide and new resources will be added to help you report your community engagement activity. You can also get support from your district Community Safety team.
