Australia’s largest Aqua Park arrives in time for holidays

NT Government

The Darwin Waterfront’s Aqua Park will quadruple in size, transforming into an impressive and iconic experience for all ages from Saturday 25 June 2022.

The new installation will become Australia’s largest Wibit Sport Park and able to accommodate up to 250 participants at one time.

Exciting new pieces are coming, such as The Rock – which has three integrated slides and five jumping platforms of various heights, The Swing – the world’s first and only modular inflatable swing on the water and The Tramp – engineered for bouncing, providing for an ideal jumping contest with friends to see who can make the highest, longest or coolest move.

Another Australian first in Darwin, and opening a week after to the main park, is the new Wibit Kids Circuit park which is separate from the main installation, providing opportunity for 4-9 year olds to have their own safe fun with parents and carers able to swim and supervise alongside.

Once again, the Darwin Waterfront solidifies its position as “the place to meet” this Dry Season for endless family fun.

This weekend will be the last chance to jump on the current Aqua Park, before it is removed to make way for our enormous new park.

Tickets and pricing for the new park offering will be released soon and can be purchased at waterfront.nt.gov.au with special discounts available for Darwin Waterfront members.

The new park will not interfere with Recreation Lagoon swimmers ability to do laps around the buoys.
