Internationally acclaimed guitarists, Indigenous performers, one of Australia’s best vocalists and a pop songstress with songs that linger: MLIVE Sound Gallery Sessions, the hugely popular live concert series streamed online during COVID-19 restrictions, is back for a second season.
Kicking off this Wednesday, June 10 at 7pm AEST after a two-week hiatus, season two will feature four Australian acts hosted at the David Li Sound Gallery, a world-class venue in Monash University’s Ian Potter Centre for Performing Arts.
Over four weeks performers will be recorded and streamed to Facebook and YouTube using multicam livestream broadcasts and following the performance, they will engage with audiences via a post-event Q and A.
The previous season ran from mid-April to late May and featured acts including Deborah Conway and Willy Zygier, Kylie Auldist, Lior and Monash Academy of Performing Arts’ own Paul Grabowsky AO.
At its peak, performers reached 46,500 people across Facebook and YouTube. Past performances can be seen here.

Thando

Allara & Culture Evolves
Indigenous performers Allara and Brent Watkins come together for a performance that incorporates both traditional music and dance, influenced by the history of their culture.

Ziggy & Miles Johnson
The internationally award-winning guitar brothers will perform a passionate and diverse repertoire, crisscrossing classical guitar music from Australia, Spain and Latin America, and jazz influenced works. Ziggy and Miles are Monash alumni and students at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York.
