Burglary at Cheltenham gaming venue

Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a burglary at a gaming venue in Cheltenham on Sunday 1 August.

Police have been told offenders attended the venue on Centre Dandenong Road and smashed the rear glass door, gaining entry about 6.30am.

Once inside, two male offenders searched the area and stole a large amount of cash.

The offenders then fled the scene in a waiting vehicle described as a white late model range rover and possibly driven by a female.

It was last seen travelling south on Centre Dandenong Road.

The first male offender was wearing a black baseball cap with a face covering and a dark jumper, blue hard Jakka brand pants, carrying a sledgehammer with a yellow handle.

The second male offender had his face covered and was wearing a black hooded jumper with Japanese writing down the sleeves, carrying a black and red backpack.

It is believed the female driver was also wearing a black hooded jumper with Japanese writing down the sleeves.

Investigators have released images of the black hooded jumper and a vehicle that may assist with their enquires.
