The City of Hobart is proud to play a significant part in supporting the Anzac Day commemorations every year.

The historic Hobart Town Hall will again host dignitaries as Tasmania’s pre-eminent ceremony and parade passes by its front door.

Hobart Lord Mayor Anna Reynolds said it was an honour to be involved.

“The honour board of those who fell while serving Australia in World War I takes pride of place in the Town Hall entrance as a reminder of those from Hobart who made the ultimate sacrifice,” Cr Reynolds said.

“We are proud to continue to commemorate Anzac Day each and every year, not only via the Town Hall’s important place along the parade, but also by the funding the City of Hobart contributes towards the staging of events through the City Partnerships program.

“This is a solemn day of reflection and honour.”

Following the Dawn Service, the traditional Anzac Day march will depart the intersection of Macquarie and Elizabeth streets.

The parade will march to the Cenotaph, where the wreath laying service is to commence at 11.45 am.

Anzac Day services will also be held in locations around the state, with residents advised to look up the RSL Tasmania website for a full list.
