MLA would like to invite producers to participate in an important piece of research that is currently being undertaken by the Australian Food & Agriculture Taskforce. The research focuses on pathways towards a thriving climate-resilient food and farming system in Australia.
Complete a short 15-minute anonymous survey before 5 July and help to provide insight into what is working, where you see the barriers and challenges to the adoption of climate resilience initiatives (including methane emission monitoring), and what support you believe would benefit the agricultural sector the most.
The results of the survey will help researchers understand how and why climate-smart practices are or are not adopted in agricultural operations across Australia. The data will help to educate and inform the Taskforce as to what matters to Australian producers who are looking to develop and leverage climate-smart practices. The data will also help to direct the mapping of a pathway to a thriving and climate-resilient national food system.
As the Knowledge and Analytics partner on the Taskforce, Deloitte will compile and analyse all the survey responses. Insights will inform the development of a position paper, which will be published in the second half of 2024 and shared with survey respondents.
