Colac Highway Patrol officers impounded two cars in Larpent earlier today.
In the first incident the officers intercepted a Holden Commodore sedan just before 11.30am and discovered the driver, 53-year-old Timboon man, was driving on a suspended licence.
To add to the driver’s woes, he allegedly tested positive to methylamphetamine.
His car was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1280 and he is expected to be charged on summons with driving on a suspended licence and drug driving.
The second impound took place just over two hours later when the officers intercepted a Ford XR6.
The 34-year-old male driver from Colac was disqualified from driving as a result of a previous driving matter.
He also allegedly tested positive for methylamphetamine and cannabis.
His car was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1225 and he will face court charged with drive while disqualified and drug driving.
