CORRECTION TO COURT DETAILS: $25k worth of goods stolen from home, three charged at Wollongong, NSW

Three men will face court today after more than $25,000 worth of goods was stolen from a Wollongong home.

About 1.30pm yesterday (Thursday 20 February 2020) three men allegedly broke into a home on Wilson Street, Wollongong.

The men allegedly stole more than $25,000 worth of goods, including electrical goods, sporting equipment and mountain bikes.

Officers from Wollongong Police District attended the scene and commenced an investigation.

A short time later, police attended a unit on Corrimal Street, Wollongong and located the three men – aged 20, 22 and 37.

Police searched the unit and located a large amount of property believed to be stolen.

All three were arrested and taken to Wollongong Police Station.

The 37-year-old man – who was also wanted for other offences allegedly committed – was charged with aggravated break and enter in company, resist or hinder police officer in the execution of their duty, larceny, possess prohibited drug and goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen and shoplifting.

The 20-year-old man was charged with aggravated break and enter in company, possess prohibited drug and goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen.

The 22-year-old man was charged with aggravated break and enter in company.

The three men were refused bail and are due to face Wollongong Local Court today (Friday 21 February 2020).
