Council services continue at Grenville, Shedley and Civic Centre

Services and programs at the Grenville Hub and surrounding Council facilities will continue as normal today, following an isolated incident in Prince George Plaza, Elizabeth.

A fire in an outdoor area of the Plaza, adjacent to the Grenville Hub, occurred on Wednesday night. The incident caused minor damage to the exterior of the Grenville Hub building. It was quickly brought under control by emergency services.

Initial reports suggesting the Shedley Theatre was impacted by the fire were incorrect. The Shedley Theatre and all other Council facilities in the vicinity are unaffected and there is no structural or ongoing impact to buildings in the area.
